Cambodian Senior Services

Elderly adults have long been the most vulnerable segment of the Cambodian community.  Although traditionally provided for by their children, in America these seniors are often isolated, lonely, abused, and malnourished.

Field PictureThe 60+ program at CAA is designed to provide services to this population by connecting them with the resources in their community.  Services available through this program include case management, translation assistance, and accompaniment to the doctor, social service agencies, or INS.

This program is affiliated with the Senior Nutrition Program providing ethnic meals to homebound seniors.  By protecting the elders in the Cambodian community, CAA is helping to protect a valuable source of knowledge about Khmer history, culture, and traditions.
